Schistosomiasis

Schistosomiasis is an endemic parasitic disease caused by schistosome intercalatum parasitizing intestinal veins. Most patients are asymptomatic after infection. Severe infections may include sudden pain in the left sacrum, abdominal pain, and diarrhea.
