Oral focal epithelial hyperplasia
The disease was first reported by Heck in 1961 and named by Archard in 1965. It is characterized by multiple high wart-like lesions of the oral mucosa, which occur mainly in Eskimos in India, North and South America, and Greenland. It is often localized in a small area, and individual reports have a family tendency.
