Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency
Hemolytic anemia caused by red blood cell glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G-6-PD) deficiency is a group of heterogeneous diseases. It is the most common type of hemolysis caused by red blood cell enzyme deficiency. The X-linked disease is not completely dominant. G-6-PD activity measurement is the main method to diagnose the disease. There is currently no cure for the disease.
