Choroidal metastases

Choroids are rich in blood vessels, blood flow is slow, and there are no lymphatic channels in the eyes. Systemic tumors can be transferred to the uveal membrane by blood transport, of which the choroid is the most common, accounting for 50% to 80% of uveal metastatic tumors. Among metastatic tumors, mainly cancer, sarcomas are rare, and skin malignant melanoma can also metastasize to the choroid.
