Cecum torsion

The cecum torsion is the torsion of the ileocecal bowel. The normal cecum is attached to the posterior abdominal wall without twisting. Cecal torsion is only secondary to the mobile cecum. As the cecum reverses its nearby ileum and ascending colon, it is a rare cause of intestinal obstruction, accounting for about 1% of intestinal obstruction. Cecal torsion is a occlusive intestinal obstruction, which can cause intestinal blood circulation disorders to occur earlier, so it is more dangerous, and almost 100% of the death without surgical acute torsion.
