Acute septic arthritis in children

Acute suppurative arthritis is more common in the knee, hip, shoulder, and elbow joints. Occurred in infants and young children are often associated with metaphyseal osteomyelitis or invasion of the synovium of the joint through blood flow, and finally can destroy the epiphysis and secondary osteomyelitis.
