Lymphocytic choroid plexus meningitis
Lymphocytic choriomeningitis is an acute infectious disease caused by lymphocytic choriomeningitis virus. The clinical manifestations of this disease vary, and can be a recessive infection, or flu-like, with acute onset, fever, headache, and myalgia as the main manifestations. The typical manifestation is lymphocytic meningitis syndrome. Meningoencephalitis may occur in severe cases. The disease is generally self-limiting and has a good prognosis.
