Occipital lobe tumor

The occipital lobe is small and there are fewer tumors that occur solely in the occipital lobe. Occipital tumors often involve both the parietal and posterior temporal lobes. The most common tumor is glioma, which accounts for about 1.46% of intracranial gliomas; meningiomas account for about 0.74% of intracranial meningiomas; other tumors are rare.
