Chemical burn of esophagus
Chemical burns of the esophagus, also known as acute corrosive esophagitis, are inflammations caused by severe damage to the esophagus caused by swallowing chemical acids such as strong acids and alkalis. The type, concentration and quantity of corrosives are closely related to the severity of esophagitis.
