Osteoporosis in the elderly
Primary osteoporosis refers to a systemic skeletal disease in which bone volume per bone volume decreases, the microstructure of bone tissue degenerates, and the brittleness of bone increases, leading to fractures. The new definition emphasizes the importance of bone mass, bone loss, and bone structure. Not only includes osteoporosis in those who have fractured, but also preclinical osteoporosis with potential fracture risk.
