Pregnancy with rheumatoid arthritis
Rheumatoid arthritis (Rheumatoid arthritis, RA), or rheumatoid arthritis for short, is an autoimmune disease with chronic progressive joint disease. It is characterized by symmetric polyarthritis, with joints of the hands, wrists, elbows, knees, ankles, and feet most commonly involved, but other joints throughout the body can also be affected. In addition to joints, extra-articular system manifestations such as rheumatoid subcutaneous nodules, arteritis, neuropathy, keratitis, pericarditis, lymphadenopathy, and splenomegaly are common.
