High ventilation

Hyperventilationsyndrome is a group of symptoms caused by hyperventilation exceeding physiological metabolism. It is characterized by clinical symptoms that can be replicated by hyperventilation challenge tests. Conventional wisdom holds that factors such as anxiety and stress response induce hyperventilation required for hyperphysiological metabolism, and clinical symptoms can be explained by hyperventilation and respiratory alkalosis.
