Acute respiratory distress syndrome in the elderly

Acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) is an acute progressive dyspnea secondary to multiple primary diseases. It is currently characterized by respiratory distress and hypoxemia, which is difficult to correct with conventional oxygen inhalation. Hypoxemia is one of the clinically critical illnesses with a high mortality rate.
