Amebiasis of the lungs and pleura

Pulmonary and pleural amoebiasis is a purulent inflammation of the lungs and pleura caused by a histolytic amoebiasis. Hepatogenic lesions mostly occur in the right lower lung, and blood-borne lesions are more common in both lungs.
