Epstein-Barr virus infection
Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), also known as human herpes virus, is a member of the genus Lymphocytic virus of the herpesviridae family. It is distributed all over the world, and infections in the population are very common, carried by more than 95% of adults. EBV is the pathogen of infectious mononucleosis. More importantly, EBV is closely related to the occurrence of nasopharyngeal cancer and childhood lymphoma, and is listed as one of the human tumor viruses that may cause cancer. In 1956 Shanghai had the epidemic.
