Superior mesenteric artery syndrome

Superior mesentery artery syndrome, also known as benign duodenal stagnation, is a chronic intestinal obstruction due to intermittent duodenal episodes caused by the upper mesenteric artery or its branches compressing the horizontal or ascending duodenum.
