Bowel syndrome

Intestinal torsion syndrome (volvulus syndrome) refers to a group of intestinal obstruction syndromes caused by entanglement and kinking of the terminal ileum and sigmoid colon. It can cause obstruction of intestinal circulation and partial or complete closure of the intestinal lumen to produce closed intestinal obstruction. The eigen mainly occurs in middle-aged and elderly people, and it is most common in people over 45 years old, with a higher incidence in men than in women. Caecal torsion and transverse colon torsion are rare.
