Scaphoid fracture
The carpal bone is divided into two rows, and the scaphoid is close to the radial side of the row. Its shape is like a boat, hence its name. But irregular, long and narrow back, rough and uneven, and joints with the radius. When the fall was injured, the palm of the hand hit the ground, and the scaphoid was the first to be crushed between the radius and the skull, forming a fracture. The scaphoid is difficult to heal because of its high shear force and poor blood flow. Scaphoid fractures are more common in young adults.
