Septicemia in the elderly
Septicemia is a systemic infection caused by pathogenic or conditional pathogens invading the blood circulation to grow and reproduce, producing toxins and other metabolites. The main clinical manifestations are the symptoms of chills, high fever, and toxic blood, as well as rashes and joint pains, some of which have migrating lesions and septic shock. Most have an acute course.
