Subluxation of the radial head

First described by Fournier in 1671. It is one of the common elbow injuries in infants. The age of onset is 1-4 years old, and the incidence rate is the highest among 2-3 years old, accounting for 62.5% more boys than girls, and more on the left than on the right. When the elbow joint is straightened, the pronation of the forearm is suddenly longitudinally pulled, which may easily cause the subluxation of the radial head. It is common for an adult to lead a child up the stairs, when they pull their arms.
