Antibacterial nephropathy
Nephropathy due to poisoning of antibiotics refers to kidney diseases caused by the application of antibacterial drugs that are nephrotoxic or prone to cause kidney damage. Antibiotic-induced kidney damage is a relatively common group of drug-derived diseases. Clinically, many antibacterial drugs and their metabolites are excreted by the kidneys, and some of them have obvious renal toxicity or produce allergic reactions. The damage to the kidney by antibiotics is mainly manifested in two categories: acute allergic interstitial nephritis and acute tubular necrosis (ATN). In severe cases, it can cause acute renal failure (ARF).
