Mitral stenosis
Rheumatic fever is the most common clinical cause of mitral stenosis. Chronic rheumatic heart disease is formed by repeated repeated episodes of rheumatic fever. Among them, about 95% to 98% involve mitral valve, 70% to 80% of mitral valve disease and aortic valve disease 20% to 30%; mostly with mitral or aortic valve disease. Simple mitral stenosis accounts for more than half (52%) of mitral valve lesions.
