B streptococcal infection

It has been reported that, according to observations in the United States, the infection rate of B streptococcus is increasing, and the reason is unclear. In recent years, there have been many reports of neonatal infections caused by this group of bacteria, which has caused people's attention. According to different surface antigens, it can be divided into nine subtypes, namely Ia, Ib, II, III, IV, V, VI, Ⅶ and Ⅷ. Hemolytic reactions of type A, B, or C can be present on blood discs. The streptococci produced by hemolytic strains are different from the O and S of group A bacteria and have no antigenicity. According to the biochemical classification method, this group of bacteria is S. agalactiae.
