Early infantile epilepsy encephalopathy

Early infantile epilepsy encephalopathy, also called Otahara syndrome (infantile epileptic encephalopathy), is a form of malignant epilepsy. The symptoms are early onset, the EEG has an outbreak-suppression wave pattern, convulsions are difficult to control, the prognosis is poor, and it can be transformed into infantile spasms.
