Acute bacterial prostatitis
Acute bacterial prostatitis is an acute inflammation of the prostate caused by bacteria themselves or bacterial toxins. Urgent onset with signs of systemic infection or sepsis. Acute prostatitis can be transformed into chronic bacterial prostatitis if it is not treated in time. If the inflammation develops and forms an abscess, it is called a prostate abscess.
