Diabetes insipidus is a condition in which a large amount of unconcentrated low specific gravity urine is excreted due to lack of antidiuretic hormone (adh) or the kidney does not respond to adh. The disease can be divided into two categories: central diabetes insipidus and renal diabetes insipidus.
