Bacterial liver abscess
Bacterial liver abscess is an intrahepatic purulent infection formed by purulent bacteria invading the liver. The disease can come from biliary diseases (accounting for 16% to 40%), portal vein hemorrhagic infection (occupies 8% to 24%), direct infection is rare, and transhepatic arterial bloodstream infection reports are different, the most are 45%, occult Infections account for about 10% to 15%. Gram-negative bacteria are the most common pathogenic bacteria, 2/3 of which are Escherichia coli, followed by Streptococcus faecalis and Proteus; Gram-positive bacteria are the most common, and infections are often mixed. The main clinical manifestations are chills, high fever, pain in the liver area, hepatomegaly and tenderness.
