Jaw-mouth nematode disease

Jaw-mouth nematode (gnathostomiasis) is a zoonotic parasitic disease caused by jaw-mouth nematodes (mainly third-stage larvae), which is rare in China. Clinically, it is characterized by transitional subcutaneous masses and increased eosinophils in the blood. In addition, the third-stage larva of Echinococcus elegans can invade deep tissues and organs, such as the brain, lungs, eyes, liver, kidneys, etc., causing viscera Echinococcus worms.
