Obese reproductive incompetence syndrome
Obese reproductive incompetence syndrome is also known as Frohlich syndrome, Babinski-Frohlich syndrome, Leaunois-Cleret syndrome, obese reproductive incompetent malnutrition, and cerebral obesity. The symptoms are more common in young children and school-age boys, and are characterized by obesity, dysgenesis, and diabetes insipidus. Most are caused by a variety of etiologies such as tumors of the hypothalamus, pituitary or its adjacent parts, encephalitis, and brain trauma. Hypothalamic lesions are an important cause of this syndrome.
