Neonatal physical jaundice

Neonatal physiological jaundice is caused by neonatal bilirubin metabolism. The serum bilirubin after birth is increased from 17 to 51 μmol / L (1 to 3 mg / dl) gradually to 86 μmol / L (5mg / dl) or above appeared clinically with jaundice without other symptoms and subsided within 1 to 2 weeks.
