Atrial fibrillation in the elderly
Atrial fibrillation (AF) is one of the most common arrhythmias. It is an atrial rhythm in which the atrial is disorderly excited and ineffectively contracted. Very common in the elderly. It is found in almost all organic heart disease and can occur in non-organic heart disease. Atrial fibrillation has a high incidence and long duration, and can cause serious complications such as heart failure and arterial embolism. As a result, the patient's disability or increased mortality has seriously affected human health.
