Perianal cancer
Anal cancer mostly occurs on the skin of the anal canal or anal margin. Most are squamous cell carcinoma, and a few are basal cell carcinoma. Anal canal cancer is growing on the dental line; cancer around the anus or marginal anus is growing below the dental line. Anal canal cancer is more common in women, and more common in men with perianal cancer. Squamous cell carcinoma mostly occurs in the anal canal and around the anus. It is caused by anal fistula, hemorrhoids, surgical scars, genital warts, suppurative sweat glanditis, and latent hair cysts.
