Retinopathy of prematurity

Retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) in preterm infants, formerly known as post lens lens fibrosis (RLF), is closely related to preterm birth, low birth weight, and high concentration of oxygen, because premature infants have not fully developed retinal blood vessels, Caused by retinal neovascularization and fibrous tissue hyperplasia. Post-lensal fibrosis is an advanced scar alteration of severe ROP.
