Skull base depression
Skull base depression (basilar invagination) is a common clinical neurodevelopmental disorder. The disease is a malformation of the skull base bone tissue, atlas and vertebrae at the center of the occipital foramen. The atlas vertebrae sinks into the cranial cavity. Narrowing, the posterior cranial fossa becomes smaller, which causes a series of symptoms caused by oppression of the medullary, cerebellum and traction nerve roots. At the same time, the vertebral artery can be compressed to appear insufficient blood supply.
