Chronic ulcerative colitis
Ulcerative colitis is a diffuse inflammation of the colorectal and rectal mucosa. Its clinical features are unexplained, sometimes scurvy diarrhea. It is difficult to imagine such a devastating disease without an identifiable cause or a specific medical treatment. Although the removal of all diseased colons and rectums can completely cure the disease, the price paid will be the possibility of a life-long abdominal ileostomy.
