Radiation esophagitis
Squamous epithelium of the esophagus is more sensitive to radioactive materials. Therefore, radiation esophageal damage may occur during radiotherapy, especially when radiotherapy and chemotherapy are performed at the same time, such esophageal damage will be more serious. This kind of esophageal damage caused by radiation is called radiation esophagitis.
