Alcoholic liver disease

Alcoholic liver disease (ALD) is a chronic liver disease caused by long-term heavy drinking. It usually manifests as fatty liver in the early stage, which can develop into alcoholic hepatitis, alcoholic fibrosis and alcoholic cirrhosis. The disease is more common in European and American countries, and the incidence has increased in China in recent years. According to epidemiological surveys in some regions, the prevalence of alcoholic liver disease in Chinese adults is 4% -6%.
