Recurrent urinary tract infection

Urinary tract infections can occur over and over again. Re-infection refers to another infection caused by bacterial invasion into the urinary tract after the bacteriuria turns negative, and it usually recurs 6 weeks after the bacteriuria turns negative. Women's urinary tract infections recur, and 85% are reinfected.
