Cloudy gas stagnation
Hysteresis is a clinical syndrome that results from various reasons causing obstruction of the distal duodenum, chyme through poor passage, causing the proximal duodenum to expand, and accumulation of contents. The main symptoms are jet vomiting after eating, pain in the upper abdomen near the umbilicus, and nausea and bloating. Duodenal stagnation belongs to the categories of "vomiting", "nausea", "gastric pain" and "abdominal pain" in Chinese medicine.
