Pediatric epilepsy

Epilepsy is a chronic brain disorder caused by a variety of causes. It is characterized by sudden, repetitive, and transient central nervous system dysfunction caused by excessive discharge of brain neurons. Pediatric epilepsy differs from adults in etiology, clinical manifestations, diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis. Many epilepsy syndromes are unique to children.
