Scleral perforation
Scleral perforation is rare. Smaller scleral wounds are easy to ignore, and only subconjunctival bleeding may be seen at the perforations. Large wounds are often accompanied by choroidal, vitreous, and retinal damage and vitreous hemorrhage. Damage to the macula can cause permanent centers.
