Abnormal penis
Abnormal erection of the penis (priapism) refers to the continuous erection of the penis that has nothing to do with sexual desire. Persistent erection for more than 6 hours is an abnormal erection. Traditionally, penile abnormal erections are classified as primary (specific) and secondary. According to hemodynamics, it is divided into low blood flow type (ischemic) and high blood flow type (non-ischemic). Penile erections are also classified as acute, intermittent (recurring or intermittent, such as sickle cell anemia) and chronic (usually high blood flow type). In the early stage of abnormal penile erection, they are all physiological penile erections, and later develop into high blood flow type.
