Pharyngeal foreign body sensation
Throat foreign body sensation is not a unique disease, but a combination of symptoms. It includes feelings of blockiness, pressure, leaves, narrowness, dryness, burning, itching, ants, or other discomfort. Its etiology is numerous and sometimes quite complex, both organic and functional. Functional people are also called pharyngeal paraesthesia, larynx paraesthesia, syphilis qi, pharyngeal neurosis, and bulbar. It is generally believed that the diagnosis of pharyngeal paraesthesia can only be made after excluding organic lesions that cause pharyngeal foreign body sensation.
