Serum alkaline phosphatase may increase progressively
For liver metastases or liver diseases of the cancer, serum alkaline phosphatase may increase progressively, often exceeding 20 A units, and γ-glutamyl transpeptidase (γ-GT) may be positive. No significant changes in alanine aminotransferase and other liver functions. Most patients die in a short period of time.
