Vasovagal syncope
Syncope refers to a sudden loss of consciousness, accompanied by a reduction or disappearance of muscle tone, which lasts for several seconds to several minutes to recover on its own, and its essence is a temporary decrease in cerebral blood flow. Syncope can be caused by cardiovascular diseases, neurological diseases, and metabolic diseases. However, many patients cannot find the cause based on clinical history, physical examination, and auxiliary examinations. It has been called "unknown cause syncope" for a long time. With the development of medical technology, vasovagal syncope (VS) is found to be the most common cause of unexplained syncope in childhood. According to incomplete statistics, about 80% of syncope belongs to this category.
