Cough in children

Cough is a protective reflex action of the human body. Children's physical conditions are special, so children with cough also need to be treated with caution. Cough is caused when foreign bodies, irritating gases, and respiratory secretions stimulate the receptors in the mucosa of the respiratory tract. Impulses are transmitted to the medulla cough center through afferent nerve fibers, causing cough.
