Waking up with numbness or burning pain after fingers
One of the symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome is awakening from numbness or burning of fingers after bedtime. It is due to the compression of the median nerve, which causes pain and numbness in the thumb, forefinger, and middle finger. In the early stage, it usually manifests as sensory dysfunction of the fingertips, often awakened by numbness or burning pain within a few hours after falling asleep, and is relieved after activity.
