Pregnancy with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome

AIDS, also known as AIDS, is a sexually transmitted disease caused by human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection. HIV infection causes T lymphocyte damage, leading to persistent immunodeficiency, multiple organ opportunistic infections and malignancies, and ultimately death. HIV can cause intrauterine infection through placental blood circulation, and birth canal secretions, blood, and postpartum breastfeeding that are in contact during delivery can also infect newborns.
