Antineutrophil antibody
Anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies are antibodies that react with lysosomal enzymes in the cytoplasm of neutrophils and monocytes. Autoantibodies closely related to a variety of small vessel inflammatory diseases. Indirect immunofluorescence studies have shown that there are two models of neutrophil cytoplasmic antibody fluorescence staining, cytoplasmic (cANCA) and perinuclear (pANCA). ANCA has important clinical diagnostic significance for systemic vasculitis and inflammatory bowel disease.
