Neuromuscular symptoms

Mild neuromuscular symptoms are only paresthesia, tingling in limbs, tingling, stiffness in hands and feet, and it is easy to be ignored or misdiagnosed. When blood calcium is reduced to a certain level (below 80mg / L), hand and foot convulsions often occur, showing bilateral symmetrical wrist and palm knuckle flexion, interphalangeal joints straightened, thumbs adducted, forming a hawk claw shape; at this time Feet often show ankylosis, knee and hip flexion; severe cases of systemic skeletal and smooth muscle spasm, laryngeal and bronchospasm, suffocation and other crises; myocardial tiredness presents tachycardia in time, ECG QT prolonged, mainly ST segment extension, with abnormal T waves; diaphragmatic spasm with hiccups; children with more convulsions, mostly systemic, like unexplained epilepsy without coma, incontinence and other manifestations. All of the above symptoms can be caused by infection, overwork and mood. Women are more prone to seizures before and after menstruation.
